On Sunday 22 June, TRAID joined in the festivities on St Alban’s Day when the city came alive with street entertainment, music and activities. There were jugglers, musicians, comedians and dancers creating a party atmosphere in the streets; and TRAID joined in the fun!

We were there to launch the extension of our free home collections of unwanted clothes to St Alban’s residents, sharing a stall with St Albans District Council who were promoting recycling across the borough.

It was a great day. We talked to hundreds of people about the new service and the charity. Plus, to help spread the word, TRAID ended up live on air at Radio Verulam 92.6, with Scott, TRAID’s Head of Logistics chatting about the service. Thanks to those guys!

Special thanks to Louise Palmer from the council who made it possible for us on the day, and helped us in everything we needed. And thank you St Albans. We’re looking forward to collecting your unwanted clothes to reuse for great causes.
