TRAID offers our volunteers a rewarding, creative and supportive environment and the chance to develop new skills. If you’re interested in fashion and charity retail, committed to the environment and social justice, or simply want to take part in your local community, then we’d love to welcome you as a TRAID volunteer. Most volunteering opportunities at TRAID are in our charity shops where you’ll get involved in a range of roles including:-
- Helping and welcoming TRAID customers
- Sorting, pricing and hanging donations
- Help to keep our shops looking great
- Processing Gift Aid donations, and encouraging customers to Gift Aid
- Supporting us at community events like shop late nights, stock previews, customisation events and more
- Promoting the shop and our amazing stock on social media
You don’t need to have worked in a retail environment or as a volunteer before. It’s much more important that you are friendly, reliable and are able to commit to 4-hours a week for at least 3-months. In return, you’ll join TRAID’s friendly and experienced team where you’ll:-
- Gain transferable skills and experience in the retail and charity sector
- Improve your CV
- Build your confidence
- Be immersed in a creative and supportive environment
- Do something you enjoy and believe in
Currently, the minimum age for volunteering at TRAID is 16 years old.
