Every Saturday, the courtyard in St. Paul’s Church in Stoke Newington is packed with friendly farmers and producers selling their products to the local N16 community. It’s a fantastic initiative run by Growing Communities who work to offer an alternative to supermarkets and processed food while strengthening communities.
TRAID joined in the fun last Saturday (19th July) where we had a charity stall and spread the word about our free home collections service, picking up unwanted clothes in Stoke Newington and across the rest of London. It was also a chance to talk more about the projects TRAID supports to improve conditions in the fashion industry, and how we can be sustainable not only in what we eat, but also what we wear.
The weather was amazing, the market was buzzing, and the food was incredible! Special thanks to Growing Communities, especially Kerry and Nicole for involving TRAID. We’ll be back!
