What can you donate?

We love to receive clean, good quality clothes so that we can resell them in our charity shops and ultimately, raise funds for the people who make our clothes. The better the quality of the items, the more we can fundraise.

We accept:

✅ Clothes (men’s, women’s and children’s)

✅ Shoes

✅ Bags

✅ Jewellery and accessories

✅ Linens such as curtains

We do not accept:

❌ Duvets or pillows

❌ Books

❌ CDs or DVDs

❌ Furniture or bulky items

We ask that you have a minimum of one bin liner sized bag of donations ready for your booking, but the more bags per booking, the better. By collecting more items per booking, we can run a more efficient service and minimise our carbon emissions.

Whilst we can accept small household items alongside your main clothing donation, we can’t take furniture or bulky items. For furniture, we suggest trying Sue Ryder or the British Heart Foundation.

Don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation!

When you donate clothes to TRAID, you can donate using Gift Aid, which boosts your donation by 25%, at no cost to you, or our charity. If you’re a UK taxpayer and you’d like to Gift Aid your donation, please create an account and select the Gift Aid checkbox when you book your collection.
