Suit into Loot, a project of TRAID and London Recycling Ltd, offers busy London professionals the chance to clear out their wardrobes and make a positive contribution towards helping two global problems: the environment and the world's poor. The scheme calls for quality cast-offs, from the long forgotten sixties platforms to the never worn Versace jacket that seemed a good idea at the time.

Suit Into Loot weeks are held biannually at various office buildings throughout London. Workers are given easy to carry, environmentally friendly jute bags to bring their unwanted clothes on the bus or the tube. Suit Into Loot staff call in at the end of the week to collect the clothes and donate them to TRAID. Old suits are quite literally turned in to loot which is, in turn, put to good use by benefiting one of the overseas development projects that TRAID supports.
